Purpose of Library

The purpose of COFER LIBRARY is to serve as a center of learning for faculty and students. The information resource collection of the library is designed to support and enhance the university's curriculum. The resources, services and personnel are provided to assist the university community in the achievement of the university's purpose.

The COFER LIBRARY provides a broad range of resources to support the library mission of "serving as a center of learning for students and faculty". These resources fall into various categories: print materials such as general and circulating volumes; reference volumes; microform reproductions of print materials; periodicals and journals; audiovisual materials in the form of DVDs and CDs; and online resources consisting of numerous electronic databases and over 1 million ebooks. In addition to customary library resources, Cofer Library is home to the "Baptist History Collection", the "TMU Archives" and the "Juvenile Curriculum Resource Collection". The library is staffed by American Library Association certified librarians, a trained administrative assistant and several student employees.
